This is not broken
So neither the guy nor myself have done much with this lately so I'm rectifying that. Briefly.

Here's what has happened so far:

1. I quit my job. And I can actually now say where I worked because I am no longer covered under the non-disclosure agreement.
For four and a half years, I worked at Old Navy. Whoo! That was exciting.
It was actually a good job, fun and staffed with some of the coolest people I have ever known. It just became unbearable within the last year and a half. I was never going to move up, I was given lists of things to do to improve my chances of being promoted thus showing how serious and dedicated I was. It was something to keep me occupied and leave management alone. They had decided that I was unfit to join their ranks and there was nothing I could do about it. (Except for a friend that was the second in charge. But her hands were tied and her own job in jeopardy.)
I should have quit earlier once the pay disparity came to light. It was embarrassing to work alongside a sixteen year old student that made almost a dollar more an hour than me. I was paid a shameful rate despite being a full time associate and having had worked at that store since day one.
Gratefully, I got a decent raise last summer. My friend, who was a manager and was being pushed out, entered my raise into the computer before she left.

Honestly, I am not bitter. I had fun, learned some very good tricks and made some great connections. Most of all, I have some wonderful friends that I will cherish.
That's why I can't complain.

2. I have spent the week doing only what I want. It's been nice. And lazy. I also got caught up on Big Love. Thanks On Demand!

3. I have another connection that could possibly land me a sweet job somewhere down the line.

4. I am going back to school in the spring.

5. I will be heading to my mother-in-law's this weekend for her birthday.
That means, tonight, we're doing bingo at the Eagle's Lodge. Tomorrow is nickel slots at a local Native American casino.
Seriously, my mother-in-law is a cool lady and I love her lots. I am really looking forward to this.
I have to miss beer pong tonight with my friends but we'll have another chance to catch up on our drinking. My mother-in-law is much more important to me.

That is pretty much it. Hopefully, the guy will come back in here and whip this place into shape. It's a shambles without him.
